To try and make up for lost time, we would like to kickstart things upon re-opening by offering free group exercise classes, included with membership. The sessions will be pre-bookable.
We hope this to be part of a long term in-house class timetable.
Please have a look at the options below and contact me (Paddy) to register interest:
We will also be taking bookings for programme reviews. I for one am looking forward to getting going again!
WE ARE RE-OPENING NEXT WEEK!
The Prime Minister has confirmed that gyms, indoor leisure facilities and outdoor sport in England will be allowed to reopen when the national lockdown ends on 2 December.
Tara Dillon, CIMSPA CEO, said:
“We clearly welcome this decision, which is a reflection of the Government recognising the essential role our sector plays in the nation’s health, society and economy.
It’s also a result of the excellent work showing that gyms and leisure facilities are Covid-secure environments, staffed by a highly qualified, professional workforce.
Sport and physical activity is part of the solution to Covid, not part of the problem... Throughout the pandemic, exercise has been promoted as an essential daily activity and, especially during the winter months, access to gyms and leisure facilities is vital in helping many millions of people to maintain their physical and mental health."
Information about subscriptions
ASFC has different payment options (annual and monthly), so please check below to see how your subscription is affected during this period of closure.
Members who pay annually:
Please speak to reception on your return if you wish to consider deferring your next renewal date.
If your renewal is requested during lockdown, please pay by BACS and when we reopen there will be an option for deferral of the next annual payment - please speak to reception on your first visit back to the Club.
If your renewal is requested during lockdown and you are unable to renew at this time, then your annual payment will become due immediately on reopening.
Members who pay monthly:
You can stop your Standing Order payments for November and until we reopen.
We would be delighted and grateful if any members were able to maintain payments to continue to support the Club (as a number of people did during the earlier lockdown) to enable us to get back up and running quickly. Any Standing Order payments received will be treated as a donation towards our ongoing costs and to support the club as we re-open.
You will have noticed that we made considerable investments to ensure that the Club was COVID-secure when we reopened (e.g. about £3,000 so far in additional equipment such as screens and hand sanitiser units and consumables such as paper towels and hand sanitiser) and members’ voluntary contributions enabled us to do this so that we could reopen in a safe and timely way.
We will also be supporting our employees during this time and we will be taking full advantage of any government job retention schemes.
Thank you for your understanding. This is a difficult time for all of us, but we hope to be back to full activity as soon as possible.
